Sundance Red Carpet Premieres (2016 Edition)

My once a year gig as a paparazzi for Salt Lake Magazine is equal parts exciting and frustrating. The exciting bit is getting to be part of the action at Sundance Film Festival, which includes photographing some of my favorite celebs up close and personal on the red carpet. The frustrating part is being 5’2” on a good day and fighting for a good spot on said red carpet with men who are easily a foot taller than me and who couldn’t care less about my height disadvantage.

That said, this year was a good one. I shot An Artist at the Table, a fancy pants dinner at the DeJoria Center in Kamas (and had a poppyseed almond milkshake on the way at Hi Mountain. POPPYSEED. ALMOND. Yes, it’s as delicious as it sounds) and a handful of red carpets, including: Manchester By the Sea, Certain Women, and The Fundamentals of Caring. All the red carpets were at Eccles Center, which meant I didn’t have another $30 parking fiasco like in 2015.  

Celebs spotted were: Jon Hamm, Matt Damon, Casey Affleck, Adrian Grenier, Kyle Chandler, Kristen Stewart, Paul Rudd, Selena Gomez, and Chelsea Handler (and yes, Chelsea is super rude in person, as you would expect).
